The minimum version of Internet Explorer ENMAT Supports is Internet Explorer 8.

As of January 2015, only 0.2% of the entire World's Internet browsing population uses Internet Explorer 7.

Depending on your version of Microsoft Windows will also depend on the version(s) you can install:

Windows XP Internet Explorer 8 only

Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8 and 9

Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10

Windows 8 Internet Explorer 8, 9 10, and 11

Windows 8.1 Internet Explorer 8, 9 10, and 11

Windows 10 Internet Explorer 8, 9 10, and 11

If you are a company using IE7 then you should expect a degraded experience when using ENMAT

If you are a member of the few users still on IE7 that need to access external websites then you have the option of upgrading to IE8 or above.

If your IT department insists they can’t upgrade then please use one of the many other standard compliant browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox

Alleged incompatibly with line of business and legacy applications is not a technical reason to not upgrade. IE8 and above can run in legacy mode for specific sites and apps, providing a full IE7 mode where needed

Delaying upgrades will cause an increasing array of challenges as all new applications are written for standards complaint browsers. The industry can’t absorb the cost of supporting the non-compliant browsers and will have to hand this cost on to clients if required (and some already are: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18440979

Reasons why we don't support IE7 or below

There is fair argument that we must use standard complaint browsers in order to achieve Accessibility compliance (AA etc) as required by law. IE7 and below compromises this.

Instead of thinking about the past and trying to conform our sites to Internet Explorer’s will, we are aiming to be future-proofing our system.

There is a very simple solution to this problem with IE7 – update your browser. It’s free, fast an easy.

Updating your browser will increase your Internet browsing speed, allow you to use the latest web apps and, most importantly, your browsing experience will be better protected from evil people who seek to do you harm, since updated browsers have updated browsing security.

Don't just take it from us

In June of 2011, google officially announced that they would no longer support Internet Explorer 7 (IE7). Older browsers like IE7, they said, just don’t have the “chops” to handle today’s modern web browsing needs. Instead, they urge people to update their browsers.

"As the world moves more to the web, these new browsers are more than just a modern convenience, they are a necessity for what the future holds."

A few months later, Facebook also annouced that they would no longer support IE7. In fact, Facebook’s new Timeline feature doesn’t even visually render in IE7.

And now Twitter has also limited support for IE7 and below.

These are just a few examples of some of the biggest Websites in the world dropping support for IE7 and below.
